Haha HBO Canceled this mess

Well it's nice to say I told you so some of you people out there were defending this piece of crap but the show was really a mess.
What a shame nice concept some decent
actors but it really failed overall.

No need to be cruel. Some are really upset. I know how they feel, I am still not over Penny Dreadful being cancelled.

Penny Dreadful wasn't canceled. The creator of the show chose to end it. Showtime wanted another season. John Logan wanted to be done.

The music was the best part and the main reason I watched it. Almost every show that's been canceled in the past, ive agreed with, but I'm bummed this one was canceled.

I'm 33 years old, so I was definitely not old enough to be around when that music was popular...but I wish I was. Seriously, you have to be brain dead to enjoy the music that's out there today. It's not music if you can make music with your laptop. And the other junk out there is all about image. The music industry bets that we're all morons who will listen and buy anything with background dancers or attitude and...they're right.

I swear I picture execs sitting in a board room saying, there's no way people are that retarded to like that song...then three months later, it's a hit.

Seriously, people will like what they're told to like. It's a sad example of how easily we all can be brainwashed. Come on, black and yellow...all about that bass...that song where that woman just says work, work, work...awful! Again, you have to be a slow adult to say that stuff is enjoyable to listen to. Id rather listen to somebody take a dump for 3 minutes than listen to the stuff on the radio.

I bet if HBO made a show about a DJ making music with his MacBook Pro, people would say it's great. What a joke.

I liked the show for the "70's music scene" as it was kind of a transitional (some might say strange) period. I'm in my 30's and I liked it.

reply

I liked it too. I liked the music. But I thought they went too heavy w/ mob stuff.

reply

I agree with you there. They could've left out the mob stuff and focused more on the music.

Looks like that dude deleted his post.

"Way back then".... dude it wasn't that long ago. Get back on your world of Warcraft and stop commenting on stuff you clearly know nothing about.

I just went to the link you posted and all I can say is: what a pathetic loser.

Breaking down World of Warcraft in that way, is like announcing to the word that you're proud to be a lifelong virgin.

You don't know what you're talking about... instead of being an ageist with no concept of time and what appeals to people how about you look at other successful period shows. Mad Men was about the 50s, Downtown Abbey is about the early 20th century (no one that remember that period is alive - maybe a handful few), shows about pirates (ALL DEAD), etc. People that grew up in the 70s are in their 40s and up - far from dead.
