Carrington Vilmont

Was absolutely *beep* amazing. The bat mitzvah scene where he has the pink thing on and that awkward face and walk. Great actor and a good episode.

Yup to everything you said! Also, the pink thing is a kippa.
Carrington Vilmont is the guy's name? Awesome, sounds like a 19th century novel character! Very cool.

reply

Yup, that's his name. Can't find much on the guy, not even a decent bio, but his performance blew me away. And apparently he wasn't involved in much acting other than plays before Vinyl. The aura he just gave away as Ernst, nailing the accent and the 70's walk and talk were awesome.

reply

I really enjoyed that character too.
I think "Ernst" made that entire episode more interesting.

I'm really bummed this is cancelled. I was hoping Ernst would come back in some flashbacks again!

reply

Carrington is very talented. I thought he nailed Ernst really well, though I didn't like that Ernst was a racist.

Still, i'd love to see this Carrington Vilmont guy in more films/tv shows. Really weird how he isn't as exposed as he should be.

Just found out now he was in Breaking Bad S05E02 "Madrigal" - opening scene as the chief food technician (the guy describing the formulation of the dips to the Madrigal executive who later offs himself with a defibrillator)
