Do the critics have it wrong?

Every single one I have read or heard has said that the pilot is pretty good, but that it goes downhill from there. Yet the ratings on this site has the episodes at the end of the season rated the highest of all. What's up with that? I had planned to just watch the pilot and stop after that, but now I am getting curious.

I'd say they do have it wrong. The pilot is pretty solid but it's actually the weakest episode. The show gets progressively better as it goes along. The last couple of episodes are the best. Season 2 had the potential to be even better.

Agreed......it only improved as the season progressed. The show had a couple of problems, but nothing that couldn't have been fixed in the first episode or two of the second season.

Flushing this show was a very bad decision.

I also agree that the first episode was its worst.

I think it was a mistake to make it so long; I think people lost interest in the episode, then the show.

Personally, I liked it, but the later episodes were better. My favorite episode was Cyclone.

Such a shame it was canceled.

I also found the first episode to be the worst. The whole "Buck Rogers" nonsense was utterly cringe worthy (& just served to remind me how much I still HATE Andrew Dice Clay!!)
