Really Interesting Documentary that Adds Background to the Hollywood Movie
I just watched this Netflix documentary on Apollo 13. I really liked because it filled in a lot of background on the Tom Hanks movie. It really elaborated on the complications in getting the astronauts back safely and put things in perspective by showing the spacecraft’s distance in reference to Earth at each critical point. The documentary also gave better context by focusing a lot on Lovell’s wife and her stress and how she kept composure for her children (and for her fellow Americans) under the 24 hour media scrutiny.
