They're trying to force EVERYONE on FACEBOOK!

All this stuff like "IMDB is no longer providing a positive, useful experience for the vast majority of our more than 250 million monthly users worldwide" is rubbish.

it's all about censorship and trying to link everyone up with Facecrap so the powers that be can spy on everyone even more. these boards are probably more popular now than they've ever been but for some bizarre reason they want to shut it down [maybe they've got some deal with Mark Zuckerburg].

Well don't do it .....look for other film sites. Avoid Facecrap!

Walking on water is like finding a non fake female profile on a dating site...a miracle!

People like you are the reason Trump won. Irrational fear, couldn't form a comprehensive thought if your life depended on it. We're screwed as a species.

he is absolutely right. People have stopped believing what they see, hear and read in the MSM, much of which is controlled to some degree by the intelligence services. Likewise Hollywood and the entertainment industry tell us what they we are supposed to think, feel, and aspire to. Above all they tell us who are the good guys and the bad guys. In this movie we were told that being obliviated is for the common good, and it appears you're with that programme

they want you to use your real identity so that you'll think carefully about what you say. Because if you say something dangerous on social media you know you'll lose your job, and / or be ostracised.

reply

Which is exactly why there are still some people who refuse to create a Facebook account.

the whole company needs to go down. But it will be increasingly harder to function without some kind of social media profile.

We're supposed to believe our elites want to end anonymous commenting etc because they're all really worried about online harassment as opposed to people dissenting from the party line.

That worked so well for YouTube.

The message boards are 90% of the reason I come to IMDB. So whatever.

That's probably what's happening. While anonymity does allow trolls to thrive, it also allows people to express their true opinions without fear of backlash, no matter how harsh they may be.

Or maybe IMDB wants to purge itself from all the negative comments as they fear it gives them a bad reputation.
