A Deleted Scene!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PsPdVyqG2U I loved it...
shareWow.... the look on Newt's face when he realizes that Queenie was right, about which school is better!
shareno, hogwarts is still the best... it might not have a great song but otherwise it is the best.
sharehogwarts 4 life
shareForgive me.... but I have never been a fan, of the caste system at Hogwarts. That each students' worth in society is based, on which House they were sorted into. It also does not help that during Dumbledore's tenure as Headmaster, Hogwarts could not keep a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher for more than a year. How on earth, were the students supposed to pass that subject, on their O.W.L.s and N.E.W.T.s?
shareyou realise that Voldemort put a curse on that post because he was rejected by dumbledore... hence dumbledore was never able to keep one DADA teacher for more than one year. and there was not a caste system at Hogwarts they were all chose on based on their abilities, choices and mind set not because they were born in a certain class...

No one is sorted based on their abilities or choices. They are sorted based on a belief system that one personality trait, is superior to the others. It is why the rivalry between the Houses is so strong. Reflecting the rivalry between the four founders. The fact, that family members tend to be in a single House proves, it is a caste system.
they were all chose on based on their abilities, choices and mind set not because they were born in a certain class..
Lovely scene. From the very raw looking CG, I gather this was cut early on. Makes you wonder why the "I wanna be a wizard" line was still included in trailers.
shareIt's just a catchy phrase. Good trailer material.
shareYes, I get that. It just seems dishonest to advertise scenes that you know for a fact won't make the final cut.
shareIt most certainly is, but as you know it's a cynical business. They only want to sell tickets.

Absolutely. That would probably feel just as tonally strange as the moment Yates and co decided to go from the dark scene of Mary Lou's death to the more light-hearted scene of catching beasts.
