What was the purpose of Allie's character? She was just sort of...a slutty chick. They made her out like she was going to be important, but she wasn't. At all.

Just one question? I have a ton of questions...and "what was the point of the Allie character" was one of them.

I thought initially she was introduced to give a context to why the son would bond with Noah without feeling threatened by him. Noah's older and more attractive, yet he's willing to play "wingman" so The Wiz can get the pretty girl. But the way they played up the purposeful longing glances from Allie to Noah, I thought for sure Noah was going to end up seducing her and the son was going to walk in on it.

No, because after the dance where she was Kevin's "date", she's seen in Noah's bedroom, giving him a blowjob.

I think it was just to give Noah yet another reason to say (to Claire), "I can have anyone I want" or "Look what you're missing." All based on his (smug) facial expression once he knew he was being watched.

Here's a better question about this movie: Why was it made? It sucked and it was a flop

Well, a 35 million gross on a 14 million budget is hardly a flop.
