Surprisingly Realistic
Bossworth's character didn't really need to fight to bring back her husband. She already had the kid and the house.
shareI am slightly confused by that. In the scene where the Dream Version of the mother changes the kid into Cody it seems like she is afraid of the husband. Could it be she thinks he is happy there? Although how could he be?
My thoughts are that she can still bring him back. I think it is left up in the air at the end. She just doesn't want the kid to feel guilty so she makes up that nice story. So he will now have good dreams. No reason why he can't dream something nice about the Dad now and now bring him back. Especially since he really liked the Dad.
I think she was thinking that her husband would be happy being with his son and that the son would be happy to have one of his parents with him.
