Annoying! Anyone read the script?

Or point me in the right direction? Here I am, an amateur in the middle of writing a spec screenplay about a 'living thought projection.' How I get there is so much cooler than a dreaming boy too. Damn it.

Just because you have a similar story-line doesn't mean you can't continue writing your script! I say write away! As long as you tell your story creatively, what does it matter? It's your idea!

Thanks, I intend to! Just takes a little freshness off my spec is all. Very little toe-treading otherwise. (I gather no explanation is given for the boy's abilities)

Keep writing dude, many people tend to not admit this, but in my opinion delivery is WAY more important than the originality of the story.

And plus, there's nothing out there that's 100 % new anymore.

With that kind of thinking, many good horror movies would not have been made. The Conjuring is just a haunted house movie without any sort of twist on the premise, yet it's still a good, scary movie in my opinion. You should continue writing it.
