He looks nothing like the portrait of him in the family photo him. The hair has nothing to do with it. Unless that's a painting
shareI thought it was another person in the portrait. During the whole movie I expected the mother to bring up that she was married to someone else before.

shareI didn't even realize this was Thomas Jane in the movie until they showed that photo. I guess the long hair really threw me off.
As they said, people react differently to trauma... The husband let his hair grow out and didn't want to go to the sharing sessions.
