So disturbing

This movie had good parts. However, that said the whole Monroe/ Minnie relationship was very, very disturbing. Kinda wanted to cover my eyes. Minnie was a child and why Monroe wanted anything to do with this " child" is beyond me. He was prob at least 20 or 25 years older then her and it made me cringe every time they were alone together. Mainly, because it was such inappropriate situation and the poor Kristen Wiig character was sad, depressed and totally not a good mother. That said there was NO EXCUSE for Monroe's behavior either. Thank God Mnnie has Christopher Meloni who seemed to care more for the girls' wellbeing more then any other so called adult in this film. While I am a fan of Skarsgard, I question his decision in taking this role.

Why? You think, as an actor, he should only aspire to play good guys and broken hotties with a heart of gold that can fuel the fantasies or his fans?

Oh no, not at all. Just this role and the whole story bothered me. I have seen him in other roles besides Trueblood. I'm not saying he should limit his choices just didn't understand this choice. Battleship was awful in my opinion, Strawdogs was an ok movie. Melancholia was a superb movie and other roles of his have shown real diversity which I like. Again this movie just did nothing for me except cringing when Minnie and Monroe were intimate and I know they are actors playing roles and I get it. But, I was buying the whole adult/ teen relationship and tbh that to me was just sick.
