Alternate ending

Here's an alternate ending: As Joy is walking down the street, a man asks her to help him with his sick dog. Fearing she's going to be kidnapped again, she pulls out a knife and stabs him. The man succumbs to his wounds, the dog succumbs to his illness, and Joy gets the death penalty.

Then cut to black, roll credits.

Mind you, the actual case hits a bit too close to home (no relations, just location-wise). Very sad and disturbing true story.
