Best Tyler Labine Since Reaper

This show is great just finished the finale loved it. Fills the void caused by the pre-mature cancellation of Reaper

Yeah Sons of Tucson was better. The kids' ridiculous antics kept that show on its toes.

That rug really tied the room together.

I heard on the Empire podcast they are due to make a second Tucker & Dale movie.

It's too cerebral! We're trying to make a movie here, not a film!

The show is decent enough but it has great potential choked by being written by and for stoners, making it less than it could be for us who aren't stoned.

I just finished the last episode. Great show and hilarious performance from Tyler Labine.

I also liked his character on The Invasion. I was really cool to see him in something else than a comedy show.

If people are saying sons of tucson was better, I don't think I'm really going to watch more than the one episode I'm planning to...but we'll see.

Reaper really should've lasted a little longer, I thought. I guess it just didn't find its audience. But yeah, this is cute too! I'm on the fourth episode now as I type this, and Labine basically plays the same personality here that he did there. Which works for me, because I like that personality! It's nice to see him again.

I totally agree. I thought Reaper was a better version of Dead Like Me, which also was canceled a bit to soon. But Reaper just ended before it found it's audiance. I think it would have easily done better if time-shifting (DVR/Hulu) was as popular then as it is now.

Deadbeat is a nice, similar follow up to the Tyler Labine death themed show thing. But It's no where near as good as Reaper IMHO.

As for Sons of Tucson, it was cute, maybe a bit better production and writing than Deadbeat, but still not as good as Reaper.

I'll bet you're right about that.

Wait, I thought the WGA strike scuppered it.

According to Wikipedia (I know, but it was the most comprehensive source I could find), the strike shortened the first season of Reaper, but the CW canceled the show during the second season. Its ratings had dropped precipitously, so I guess that'd be why. I mean, that'll do it!

Loved Reaper. Was glad to see Ray Wise back on this show if only for a bit. He was great as the devil.

As mentioned already, catch Tucker and Dale vs. Evil if you can. A movie rather than a tv series of course, but Labine has never been better. Alan Tudyk is a riot too (they work great together, each perfect in their roles and strong chemistry together) and the movie's a hilarious, top-notch horror comedy/parody. Enjoy Katrina Bowden in it too.

RIP Reaper - you were gone too soon.

Deadbeat is lots of fun. Such an easy watch and gets better as the series progresses. It's had some good cameos and plenty of great one-liners. I really like it when the storylines go in an unexpected direction.

I hope more people hear about this show; I stumbled upon it by accident and that's a shame.
