Season 3

I think it's the best season so far

Eh, no. Not by a long shot. It's not the worst thing, but it's a huge drop in quality for the show. If the show is renewed, I hope they find a way to undo the damage. I like Clyde, but the season had no big payoff, it lacked any kind of good emotional appeal (sorry, Clyde's hurt feelings doesn't cut it) like in seasons 1-2, and the "bad guy" Danny Poker was lame as f#ck. By the time they tried to put together a coherent overall story, it was too late. Bad pacing, a noticeable decline in humor (think less smart, more low brow), and a lack of interesting supporting cast (Clyde is not enough). If someone asked me if the show was worth watching, I'd hesitate to say "yes" because I'm ashamed that the show ended up with such a mediocre third season.

Perfect assessment Mahou. This was the actual first Hulu series that I ever engaged in because most looked so subpar. Season one went with a more open view into viewers of all ages. It had a puckish charm if not always wit. In 2, they went R, which I couldn't care less about, but it still had shreds of season 1's warmth. 3 looks like it was filmed as a weekend side project where speed was of the essence. Almost apathetically inane. Very sad in a way. Ironically ghosts are taking a (very) back seat in a series that's premise is based on them. I also miss the more inclusive N.Y. feel the last 2 seasons had. They're still filming in NY, but it like the show now feels so generic. Season 3 deserves a 3 out of 10.

I'm in the middle of season 3 and it's okay but getting sick of the non stop weed jokes. The show lost great characters and a charm.
