shareThere's a recent documentary called Cartel Land (2015) which follows an American vigilante group patrolling the Mexican border for about half of the film (the other half follows a Mexican vigilante group that tries to protect rural communities where law enforcement is either corrupt or not present and hunt members of the drug cartels). It was a pretty phenomenal doc.
There are also probably a bunch of amateur documentaries about the (American) vigilante border patrol groups on YouTube, and I know for a fact Vice has done one or two about them as well.
