shareI think it's more that awkward looking guys like him (no offence intended) rarely land chicks like Daddario. He was also jobless (though lost his job after having met her already), a drug dealer and seemed kind of narcissitic too. Not much going for him so on the off chance of such a girl falling for him, ignoring her would probably not be the best idea.

The guy was a pill junkie / addict. They made that perfectly clear in this movie. So he didn't ignore her for ugly strippers, he stood her up to feed his addiction. He already told the guy he wasn't interested in staying or the girls that were coming. It was only when the guy took out the pills that he decided to stay.
