A bit about the director

Paul Bettany will no doubt be a familiar name to many, if not most posters. Paul comes from a middle class background in the UK. His parents were involved in the theatre. In his late teens Paul suffered a breakdown, precipitated by the tragic death of his much younger brother. He lived rough in London, sharing a squat and busking as a street musician to earn money. With support he picked himself up although in his 20's, when he was beginning to make a name for himself as an actor, he continued to suffer emotional fall out manifested through an addiction to cocaine.

Given this background I'm hopeful that he might be able to capture desperation and recovery in a film that, because of his and his wife's name, may gain some mainstream distribution. Hopefully it's a way of settling some of his demons too.

The distance is nothing. The first step is the hardest.
