Kinda unbelievable.

Im sorry but I never seen a hot homeless woman before.

I can see how much attention you pay to others around you. I have seen many extremely attractive homeless people. Especially in NYC. *beep* happens. People fall on hard times. But, one can use their beauty as a tool to get themselves out of their situation. But that can also be difficult depending on one's own moral code.

I dunno if it helps your case to add "extremely" and also a specific location to where the best looking homeless people live.

OP's right though. Hot women don't become homeless. If they do, they start out extremely attractive and then their teeth start to fallout, they get abscesses, scabby skin, and so on.

But homeless males? I imagine they could be extremely attractive in the sort of way that some women find serial killers irresistible.

Seriously though, "falling on hard times" probably accounts for only a small minority of homeless people. Mental health issues and drug addiction are your safe bets as causes.

Even an extremely attractive male has social value. They, like hot women, use their looks to leverage women (perhaps like you) to get things they need. So any "hot" homeless guy probably has a screw loose or a bad drug problem.

But kudos to you for seeing the silver lining. I'm not saying you're wrong. It's just a unique perspective.

You can be hot as the sun, if you are suffering from a severe mental illness, or addiction and your support network has either failed you or you don't have one, then being hot isn't going to save you.
Plus not all homeless people are chronically homeless, some only fall into homelessness for a period of time and then come out of it before their teeth rot out or whatever (plenty of non-homeless poor people have serious dental issues because while free medical clinics are somewhat common, such dental clinics are very much not)

I know someone who was kind of similar to Hannah though a lot younger, she was homeless in New York (only for a few months) despite being attractive and coming from a well to do family. A whole string of things led to it including a violent assault and the resulting ptsd led her to do drugs and lose her job and then everything spiraled. Her family eventually came to her rescue, she wasn't nearly as far gone or stubborn as Hannah. There are so many people who are one bad break away from having no roof over their head, especially in a place with housing as expensive as NYC.

The important thing to note though is that to look at that girl I know you might not have known she was homeless, the stereotypical hobo looking homeless folk are obvious and everyone looks at them and thinks "homeless" but there are some homeless people who don't look like what you expect so you wouldn't have reason to know they are homeless. So of course the homeless are going to all look wretched if the wretched looking ones are the only ones you even realize are homeless.

Humanity has failed; if we no longer have the decency to care for others in need, we are doomed.

Also, if you watch the movie, there are large portions of it where she is not her usual beautiful self, it is downright hard to look at her in some of the scenes. the trailer shows some scenes where she's looking better and starting to turn her life around, but during the darkest times for her character she looks pretty awful

But as the other poster said, not all homeless people are ugly, there are many people who are homeless because of mental illness, so their beauty is of little use to helping them get their life together. Just like there are some really ugly rich people, there is a lot more to success than appearances, you can just clean up easier and dress better if you're rich.

I've seen a pretty good looking homeless girl the other day. She was about 19 years old. She wasn't fat with missing teeth or anything. Some people are just unfortunate than others, regardless of their looks.

I don't know about women, but a hot homeless guy asked me for my cup of coffee when I was going to throw it out. It was probably the beginning of his homelessness, but still.

I honestly didn't think Connelly looked attractive in this. I mean, she has a beautiful face, but she was emaciated to a disturbing extent. It worked well for the role though (if she really did lose the weight for the role) and I'm glad that she is that dedicated unlike the stupid actors and actresses who allow themselves to be CGIed nowadays.

She's not hot, but the most beautiful girl in the whole world!!!

I find it kind of unbelievable that so many people rush to IMDB to brag about how shallow and superficial they are, yet it happens every single day.

Movies are IQ tests; the IMDB boards are how people broadcast their score.

Uh...thanks Ms Davis.

She didn't look hot because she lost a bunch of weight.
