Mind numbing
Yes, my kids love this show. Clearly it connects well with young people. But it seems utterly empty. It reminds me of Super Why in that the episodes seem mostly about the filler -- long sequences of the Ryder guy flipping through his smartphone and tapping on logos and the dogs sliding down into their snazzy vehicles. Then they go on some absurd rescue mission that makes no sense. The other day it was to save the girl stunt pilot (Skye?) whose plane caught fire. They decided it was too dangerous for her to parachute out because it was getting dark, so instead they had her climb out on to the wing of her burning aircraft and latch on to the cord that the girl puppy was trailing from her helicopter. Exactly what lesson are children supposed to be learning from that?!? Why do the sensible thing when you can do something infinitely more absurd and dangerous?
