There'd be good statistical chance of...

A suicidal man in the group, 30s or 40s age around and single. This demographic makes up a huge percentage of suicides in real life.

I know there was a suicidal teenaged boy but probably realistically there would have been 1 or more suicidal older men also.

Indeed. I don't want to raise any alarms, I'm quite healthy mentally speaking, I'm just stating facts.

Suicidal people still have the same survival instinct as everyone else. Even if you were planning to off yourself next week you would still want to survive the immediate danger with all that adrenaline pumping through your veins.
