6.1 is too low
Some SPOILERS
Seriously, aside from a somewhat unimaginative ending, this is a pretty decent psychological thriller. It manages to deal with the very nature of humans becoming morally grotesque creatures when placed under extreme circumstances. The acting is surprisingly good for a low-budget horror-thriller, with the sole false note in that department coming from argubaly the most famous one in the cast - Julie Benz. I don't know whether it's her confusing character or all the plastic surgery that makes her look like she's laughing when she cries, but not her best performance by any means. Also, the film is not some pretentious social commentary, infact it could almost be taken as a Cronenberg-esque satire that deals with depressing issues without actually depressing you.
Anyway, it was definitely a pleasant surprise for me.
