I wait 8 years for straight to DVD???

Wtf!!!??

reply

Yeah, because the original See No Evil was so memorable audiences were screaming for a sequel...

reply

What does that have to do with anything?

There's worst horror films out there that get terrible not wanted sequels.

Final Destination anyone?

So I don't see your point. This film could have easily went to the big screen. Seeing the Collectiom did.

reply

Releasing the film theatrically spending money on marketing and distribution would easily exceed See No Evil 2's modest budget. This is a DTV film with a DTV budget.

reply

This was a DTV film when the first one was release what's the difference

What?

reply

How is Final Destination a good example? It's actually popular, made money and people have heard of it.

reply

The FD franchise was a huge hit, though.

SNE 2 would probably make okay money on VOD and STV anyway.

reply

I thought the first one was pretty decent, in fact I would say its at the least top 5 horror movies of 2006, depending on what you're into

this second one though is definitely not catching my attention, just based off the trailer this looks poorly put together low budget and sloppy

It is. That, plus it's boring, flat and uninspired. The only reason people are even discussing it is because the Soska twins are directing. If it were anyone else, NO ONE WOULD CARE.

reply

Soska was the only reason I knew about it.

reply

...So? Kane is the only reason i know about it. Who the *beep* is Soska?

reply

Wow. After research they have nothing to be known for other than being *beep* Pretty sure Kane has their audience times a million..

reply

It's not a big shock to me. The original SNE did decently at the box office but wasn't an enormous hit. So it's not a surprise the sequel is straight to DVD/Blu-ray since the original was only a modest success.
