Why was Katharine Isabelle so bad in this lol

Danielle was amazing as always and Chelan actually surprised me, but Katie was wayyy over the top. I know she was supposed to be "drunk" but it was just too much. I still love her obviously, but I feel like she didn't want to be apart of this movie so she just hammed it up as much as possible and it showed. Her death scene was awesome and definitely the best, though! I really liked the movie and thought it had great suspenseful moments. I just wish Katie's performance was stronger.

I think her character was supposed to be quirky, over-the-top and weird. I liked her.

See I'll take Katharine's performance over Danielle and especially Chelan. Danielle is fine but is saddled with some of the most cliche dialogue and Chelan doesn't do hysterical well. Katharine, I was getting a kick out of because she was so over the top. She's played everything so serious lately, it's fun to see her be quirky.

"I'm just not used to being chased around a mall in the middle of the night by killer robots."

I can say this . All the females in this one did a much better job with their acting than the girls did in the original . the only female character in the original that I thought had tried was Kira's character the rest I found disposable and their even better looking in what they wear and how they look in my opinion .

Danielle was kiiiiind horrible. She overacted in almost every scene. Chelan was alright, but she didn't have much to do. Disagreed on Kat, I thought she was by far the best thing. Absolutely hilarious. Sure, she hammed it up, but her hammy performance (along with the lead guy, the directing, and a few kills) saved this movie from being a total dud.

I agree with you on certain stuff like Danielle was majorly sensitive and overreacted on a lot of stuff by I actually cared for her when she died . but other than that the movie was great .! I don't think nobody can say that it is a piece of garbage or it sucked ! Cause it didn't . few surprises & twists . and I love how they did the opening credits ! 8/10 .

I didn't care at all when Amy died, was just relieved that she wasn't the last one standing
I thought it was pretty mediocre to be honest

I think they purposefully made Tamara a quirky and over the top character to mirror the serious character Katherine played in American Mary. The Soska twins kept saying they were continuously being asked to make a movie that was pretty much American Mary 2.0, so anything to distance this movie from their previous one - hence the less serious character of Tamara and Katherine's acting. Also, she was supposed to be hammered. Who wouldn't be over the top in that situation when drunk?!

i'm completely shocked at how abysmal Katharine was in this!! i've found her to be excellent in anything i've seen her in. she was amazing in AMERICAN MARY but what the F happened in movie?!! i mean seriously, i can't even believe this is Katharine Isabelle.

i still adore her and i'll always be a fan (can't wait for her to return on HANNIBAL!) but WTF is up with her in this movie? to the people saying "she was hilarious!" um...was this supposed to be a comedy and not a horror movie? if so then i'm wrong, Katharine did a great job IN THIS COMEDY. she was terrible. this is supposed to be horror movie. not a comedy. see the difference? and "quirky", really? there's quirky and then there's so ridiculously over the top, chewing scenery that it becomes laughable. that was Katharine in this. i hate saying that because i AM a fan of hers.

Danielle was pretty great overall. Chelan was pretty decent (although her non-stop wheezing/breathing was incredibly annoying). i will say this about normally awesome Katharine...i can see her doing an actual comedy and being great in it.

awful movie by the way. it's not the Soska's fault though. it was the god awful writing.
