Consolation Prizes for Kane

Are these movies consolation prizes for Kane since he has never had a "true" reign as WWF or WWE champ. Sure, he beat Stone Cold and was champ for 24 hours, but he never held the main title again after that.

Kane has won just about every other title since that time, but he only ever held the WWF/WWE belt once. Yeah, he was World Heavyweight champ when the brands were split and he beat the Undertaker in a hell in a cell match to solidify his champ status, but they had battled a ton of times by then.

When Undertaker and Kane first met at Wrestlemania, I thought Kane was gonna win. He was booked so strong and he was fierce. These days, it's hard to take him seriously as a heel. Kane and Daniel Bryan had a great run as team "Hell No" and if Kane retired after they lost the titles, I would've respected that.

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy watching Kane wrestle, but it's not the same as it used to be. It's hard for me to believe he's going to win. When he and Daniel Bryan had a match at Extreme Rules, it was a pretty good match for what it was. Ending was kinda hokey, but unexpected. Unexpected in that I didn't foresee a table being lit on fire. Then they were supposed to have a rematch and Bryan decided to get surgery, which is good for him. Important to recover properly. But does Kane get the title as a result?

HELL NO!

A similar situation where a wrestler that never got a major heavyweight title but deserved one, was the British Bulldog. In Bret Hart's autobiography he wrote about how the "European" championship was created for the Bulldog, instead of giving him the strap. As a consolation prize, if you will. Lots of politics I'm sure were involved in that, but still. If someone like Batista could be wwe champ, why wasn't someone like the British Bulldog champ back in the day.

Kane was the only reason I decided to check out this movie series btw.

 me.

I really don't feel like careers are measured by title wins. Kane has been around for so long and has been able to make small tweaks to his character and stay fresh. I feel like that longevity enough makes a huge statement. Where as someone like cena who has been around less but has done basically the same routine for a decade and people are over it. Most people not all though. And he beat Rey mysterio for the heavyweight title in 2010 and Rey was very over then. Don't get me wrong I agree Kane could hold that title anytime and is a work horse and will. Rightfully deserve his place in the hall of fame when it comes. But I feel like the fact that he's still around and people from so many generations and age groups know who he is is more of a testament to his work. Not arguing with you, just expressing how I feel.

He beat the Undertaker THRICE in a row to defend the World title during his second reign. Sure it's a story but that's mighty impressive booking.

Sadly, the movie is quite boring. Totally dies ironically after Kane starts hacking through things during the 1 hr mark.
