He's just supposed to be a normal guy, granted a psychotic lunatic but still just a normal guy that bleeds and feels pain. At the end of the first movie a pipe was literally impaled through his head, yes through his brain. And his heart was clearly punctured and bled out. No freaking way he could survive that, he's not Jason Voorheese.
The fact that he's making a mask and getting his head patched up is hilarious.

I think it's cool, harkens back to the old "invincible slasher villan". Yes, the "death" was incredibly over the top, but I think that makes it cooler that he's returned. Of course I understand that some may see it as being completely silly.
Jason was a retard, how did he keep coming back? Freddy was a pervert, how did he keep coming back? Michael was a f-up kid, how did he kept coming back. It a horror movie the rule state that they will always come back.

Ok Jason as a human never suffered injuries like Jacob Goodnight did in the first See No Evil, sure he was badly injured in parts 2 and 3 but they was never to the extremes of having his heart ripped open and his brain impaled.
When Jason got a machete chopped through his head he died, he didn't hop up and bandage his head, he died. When Jason was brought back to life in part 6 he was a zombie.
Freddy as a human, he died he came back as a vengeful spirit in dreams he didn't wake up and apply burn ointment to himself and start killing again.
Myers is different he's supposed to be pure evil that cannot be stopped, like a force. That was made clear in the movies. that he was just pure unstoppable evil. Ok you could say "Well Jacob Goodnight, the same can be said for him" no you can't because the movie just painted him as a regular dude who just a had a screwed up upbringing and became a lunatic.
In this they're making it like Jacob Goodnight was just badly injured and he got up and bandaged himself back up. They're not saying he's a zombie or anything he's just back with no explanation just because they wanted to do a sequel.

In your argument for Halloween, I guess you could apply the rule here. Not a the pure evil but seer of evil and punishing the evil doers. I mean, that doesn't sound absolutely terrible and it gives the character invincibility.
Bane_89, i agree 100000000%. and thank you for correctly pointing out the Michael/Jason/Freddy and lame Jacob Goodnight differences. you are 100% spot on correct.
Jason in F13 part 3..."human",gets hanged and ax to the forehead. Dead at the end. Beginning of F13 Final Chapter he walks out of the morgue. So there's that
Well the hanging is questionable i'll give you that but the axe to the head isn't. I mean it clearly didn't penetrate his brain, cause for one the hockey mask helped soften the blow i'm sure and the axe partially went into his skull. The axe did enough damage to knock him him out for 24 hours then he came to when he was being wheeled in the hospital.
The hanging still isn't as definitive as something as the heart being ripped open and bleeding out inside like with Jacob.

Funny thing. in 1968 there was a construction accident where a pipe was literally shot through a guys head. There was an accidental explosion during blasting process and person setting up the charges was the one hurt. thing is - he remained conciuos. more than that - after the doctors fixed him up he actually went on to live his life for YEARS as a functional person in society - with a lead pipe hole in his head.
While it did change his personality quite a bit (loosing part of your brain does that you know) and he seem to loose some mental abilities (like risk valuation was pretty much nonexistent) he still functioned. Humans are amazing at survival.
