My review, wasn't bad at all!

Amazing movie, it really is. Makes for a perfect horror movie, and unpredictable deaths. I didn't expect Danielle Harris to die, but she did. I like the nice twist at the end, and liked Seth's one liner towards the end,"You're not so tough. Goodnight" haha. But he survived. One of the best, if not, THE best horror movie I've seen in the past 2 years.

Why does some people hate it? Just because of the love interested? It fit for the movie though, and I didn't mind it one bit. Though the deaths weren't as memorable, it's still a great horror movie to watch. I really hope they continue with the series, wasn't expecting Jacob Goodnight to actually survive this one.

But he survived.
Huh? Seth died.

I didn't hate this, but I was let down with it (5/10 overall), issues being:
-Really lame kills, and there wasn't all that much tension either
-Minus Seth, who was likeable, and Tamara, who was absolutely hilarious, the characters were pretty weak. Kayla was kinda likeable I suppose, but not great. In particular, Danielle Harris had some bad overacting and Greyston Holt's character was a complete douche, and not in an interesting OR entertaining way. He's also not well developed. Could not wait for him to die. Most of a slasher movie's runtime is spent on the teen characters interacting, and these kids just weren't very interesting at all, and the two who were either spent the first half of the movie mostly separate (Seth) or were a supporting side character (Tamara)
-Disliked the very ending, with Jacob killing Seth. Just forced and unnecessary
-Didn't really bring or do anything new for slashers. Killing Danielle Harris was kinda surprising, but offing the final girl isn't unheard of, and Seth wasn't the most shocking lead of alltime either

To each their own, but I wouldn't call this movie "amazing", "perfect horror movie", "unpredictable deaths", "best horror movie I've seen past 2 years".

I honestly really enjoy horror films and this was a fun slasher. Nothing great or groundbreaking, but entertaining enough. It is, however, not amazing, unpredictable or great in any way. I'd watch a third movie, as long as Kane returns.
