With two of my favorite actors - Brody and Strahovski - headlining this, I am so very looking forward to Manhattan Nocturne.

However, like many other Nerd Herders, I am concerned about the potential nude scenes involving Strahovski. Knowing Brody's commitment to his craft, he'd probably want to stay as close to the book as possible.

Regardless, I am surprised at the choice of DeCubellis as director though. Looking at his portfolio, Manhattan Nocturne will be his big screen directorial debut.

Interestingly, reports suggest that Fable House (Brody's company which is producing MN) is funded by a Nigerian oil tycoon and the Chinese government!

Two things:

1) I highly doubt there will be any true nude scenes whatever the source material may be. It easily possible to film love scenes in a tasteful way so that nothing is really shown. Yvonne has already shown a reluctance to do fully nude with her role on Dexter and with a film this small in scope I don't believe she would change that stance.

2) I wouldn't hold my breath about seeing this anytime soon. More than likely it won't find a distributor for a variety of factors and will languish on someone's shelf for a year or two before possibly seeing some sort of straight to release.

In regards to

1) IMO People need to stop focusing on the nudity aspect and more on the quality of the film in general. Hopefully it won't be another I'Frankenstein(Yvonne) or InAPProprite comedy(Adrien). The book's reasonably good, so i'd like to think the film will be too though they seem to be adding/changing a fair bit based on casting / SM posts which always makes me wary.

2) I thought I was a glass half full man, but To be fair you may be right for a general release (especially since Brody only shot his last scene a few days ago). I know(Twitter) the BTS documentary they shot is scheduled to appear at sundance so maybe the film will premiere there as well. I hope It's not that long of a wait(Year or two).

She's way hot. And Brody is a great actor. But let's face it, it will probably suck. This guys the equivalent of a 35yr old single A baseball player who's getting a shot at the big leagues. A good story but not happening.
