How is the humour different from the last film or the series?

I've not seen it yet. But I'm guessing it's completely different since so many people say they love the last film and the series but hated this one....
Although, I can't help but wonder if a lot of people have lost their sense of humour or just become overly cynical.

I loved the show, but a 20 minute episode had more laughs than this film. Just didn't work for me, it seemed there was no heart-just pointless.

I've seen hardly anybody claim to dislike the film that liked the first film and the series.

I've seen lots of people that think that this film was a big improvement over the last film.

Browse the board. There are definitely fans of the last film n the series that didn't like this one. I'm just wondering why.

i loved the first film and series, i still find them funny after multiple viewings, this new film just wasn't funny.

I loved the series, thought the first film was pretty good but hated this one. The comic timing and setup were just crude rather than crudely funny in this one and a lot of it seemed very forced (Will singing at the fireside). I think the rating will drop to around 6.0 after the initial hype dies down.
