No Mr Gilbert? This annoys me

I know the show is about the Simon, Jay, Will and Neil but Greg Davies as Mr Gilbert was one of the funniest characters from both the series and the movie. I'm sure he would of agreed to do a small part in this sequel. I would like to hear the reason he's not in it whether it was his choice or the writers.

I know who you are! who are ya?

reply

He's not Mr. Belding.

reply

He's not Mr. Belding.

I was about to say that he's not Mr. Feeny from Boy Meets World, who followed the gang to university, but Belding is an equally good example.

reply

Excellent example! I really need to brush up on my later boy meets world years. I followed saved by the bell through right to the death, yes- including all the new classes.

reply

If you can think of a decent reason to force him into the film, then I'd like to hear it.

reply

Best guess, they couldn't find a way to shoe horn in a cameo. In which case, best to leave the character out.

You can't palm off a second-rater on me. You gotta remember I was in the pink!

reply

Trust me, he comes back. In a BIG way.

Yup, he comes back. Only for a bit.
He marries Will's mum]

reply

Err he was in it ???

reply

Yes he is in it towards the end. Brilliant how his little cameo is so funny.

reply
