New ‘Peanuts’ special will finally let Franklin sit by White friends

Franklin’s isolated seat at the dinner table in “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” riled viewers of the classic that aired 50 years ago. But a new TV special about the first Black “Peanuts” character literally gives him a better seat at the table.

No, it didn't rile anyone up until sites like this came about and Zoomers were born because at almost 58, no one complain about the Peanuts cartoons like liberal crybaby losers do in 2024 such as yourself and you're not happy unless you are complaining because you're bored

LOL!! I knew you'd take the bait and be totally triggered! 🤣🤣🤣

But you know what's more sad?? That you go out of your way to look for subjects like this because you're bored on a Saturday night no less?? You're essentially trolling, the very same thing you complain about others doing and that makes you a HYPOCRITE

You know there are girls in the real world, right? Give 'em a try!

Marcie was sitting my herse!f too, but for obvious reasons, no one complained about that. I would like to see this film, being a lifelong lover of Peanuts.

reply

Marcie was clearly in love with Peppermint Patty.

In one of the recent cartoons by Schultz on DVD, around 2015, my friends and I were shocked to finally see Marcie's eyes, she took off her glasses in an episode. I never understood why she addresses Peppermint Patty as Sir.

Peanuts Special Addresses Controversial Scene From Thanksgiving Special

Craig Schulz, son of Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz, recently addressed the controversy in an interview, revealing that his son Bryan told him about the issue with the scene.

“It was very important to my son Bryan,” Schulz told The Daily Beast. “He said, ‘This is our chance to kind of rectify the whole thing.’”

Director Raymond S. Persi explained how they made the emotional scene happen, adding, “To make it have the most impact, [I suggested that we] match the shot exactly to what it was in the Thanksgiving special. So, we looked at the original frame. You’ll see [in the special] it’s even that same weird, wonky perspective of the table. We put it in there just so that it would immediately get people to connect to that moment.”

did they apologize for being racist?
