The new trailer confirms that III is canon. I’m glad it’s canon.

I DON'T MIND III AT ALL...IT IS THE LEAST OF THE TRILOGY...BUT IT'S STILL FUN...NO TAGGART WAS A BIG PROBLEM FOR ME THOUGH.

shareI honestly thought part three was better than part four. But I haven’t seen part three and maybe 20 years. I did just rewatch part two and it was absolutely not as good as I remember. Some of the jokes that were such a big deal with Eddie Murphy telling them back in the day now seem kind of corny. I think Eddie taking a break from comedy for so many years really screwed him up. He’s just not funny anymore. He just doesn’t have the same vibe as he did in his 20s. And of course, why would he? I mean, nobody acts the same way in their 20s as they do in their 60s. But he shouldn’t have stopped. He shouldn’t have taken such a long break from R rated comedy. I think him having children is what really screwed him up in the long run.

shareI agree. They’ve definitely messed up the timeline. According to Axel F she was born in 1992 which is before the events of III which happened in 1994.
There’s no way Axel impregnated a woman in 1992 and then had an affair with Janice, a woman he met an amusement park in 1994 lol
i like to think maybe part 4 takes place in 2020 or 2022

shareI was going to make a thread about this on the page for III. but Beverly Hills Cop III must be the most 80's 90's movie I have ever seen. and III isn't "just" 90's, it's 1994, which was definitely the 90's by then.
shareI think 3 did bad because Eddie followed a script. In 2 they mostly adlibbed the whole thing due to Stallone taking the script and leaving to do Cobra with it and was replaced with Eddie.
