Surely this movie wont have a 'happy hollywood ending'?
Or what?
shareI wouldn't class Stephen Frears as a Hollywood director. Look at the endings of his other films.
It's an ordinary high school day. Except that it's not.
Probably not. It could have a happy ending à la "The Wolf Of Wall Street", but hopefully not.
shareFrears is British and this film is no Hollywood film LOL Americans are so interested in it that it has no distributor in US one year after they wrapped shooting and went to many festivals sell it.
shareI'm still wondering why Universal- a studio who has released past movies from this movie's producers- is dragging their ass.
It don't matter who you hear it from. It's the same story.
What I've read is that this film was promoted im many festivals in 2014 but maybe after some footage and how the project was being sold, it didn't attracted buyers. In US schedule is already tough, so the distributor who buys it will only release it this year if it's AMAZING. When will they know that? After it premieres somewhere. The problem is that reshooting and no distributors after one year make the movie sound bad.
