Im wondering if this movie will just insist on the fact that Armstrong lied.
Many ppl say that everybody was on roids, so wat? And they are right, but I think that he was the reason everybody started doing it as well in the first place.
Anyway the roids are not important, the movie should emphasize the sociopathic nature of this guy. He destroyed the lives of those who exposed the truth
Well, he was sort of the mastermind of the U.S Postal Service team. Of course others encouraged him to start doping to begin with in cycling in general, he didn't come up with the concept. However when it came down to it...he definitely was the ringleader to keeping everyone in line on the team. He was the winner, he was the brand.
I just hope that they show the other riders fairly as well. Jesse Plemons as Floyd Landis comes off as a reluctant follower... as the main whistle blower, he is anything but. He went to a different team, unaffiliated with Lance, and won the Tour de France, and was then disqualified. He then wrote a book "Positively False" how I won the Tour de France... where he lies detailing how he was an honest cyclist. Tyler Hamilton, another USPS rider did the same thing... same result. He was banned. They all did the same thing, but Armstrong gets a lifetime ban, and lost all of his Tour de France titles, and many of them got 6 month suspensions, and none lost their results.
Floyd admitted to doping starting in 2002, when he started with the USPS Team. Yes, he maintained his innocence just like Tyler Hamilton who also wrote a book (I read both of theirs.) HOWEVER, Lance was the hero of America. Those two didn't win back to back to back Tour de France's, didn't use cancer use cancer to make themselves untouchable, and were not untouchable. Ask an average American what they know about cycling: Lance Armstrong. He brought hope to the sport and will forever taint it.
Have you seen the trailer? The impression I had is that Armstrong is the villain in here, just like his doctor, Ferrari. Watching the few scenes Canet appeared in, the guy seems to be a joke, the kind of character you look and just wanna laugh because he's so ridiculous LOL
Probably but you have to say from looking at the documentaries which feature the "real" Ferrari that he actually does look like an arcitypal Bond baddie!
