What's Dustin Hoffman role in the movie?

It wasn't comfirmed yet. Maybe some former cyclist that supported Lance Armstrong. Just a guess.

He's a bit too old looking perhaps, but if you squint a bit he could pass as Greg Lemond and the quote from the trailer is along the lines of what was said to Walsh originally. There doesn't seem to be a listing for Greg as far as I can see on the credits so it could be.
That's probably just wishful thinking on my part. Legend playing legend.

He plays a guy called Bob Hamman, google him for more.
Its a tiny part, two or three brief scenes.

He appears late in the movie as a risk insurance agent who basically indemnifies the company who guarantees Lance 5 million dollars if he were to win the Tour for a few consecutive years in a row.

As this seems to be a long shot (at the time); Hoffman's character deems this to be a reasonable risk.

After Lance wins all of those Tours and gets the 5 million; Hoffman's character goes to the journalist investigating Lance's "purported" (at the time) doping allegations and gives him encouragement in pursuing any and all leads (as if he is convicted of doping; the 5 million dollar payment would be null and void).

A small but memorable role.
