Scott read the script and felt that the role was too small and there was not enough action for him and he did not want to disappoint his fans

Adkins was smart to decline the role. There was absolutely no reason he shouldn't have been offered the lead role.

I think Scott Adkins would make a great replacement for Jean Claude Van Damme in a Bloodsport remake.

That would be cool,but I have a feeling they would only offer him a minor role, I do agree with Callum that he should stop being part of Van Damme related movies

I think he should just stick to Straight To DVD films at least we can get some quality action,unless hes offered decent roles in The Raid,Man with the Iron Fists or Ninja Assassin like movies

I am not expecting much from this movie,I am only watching because of Batista, Van Damme and the Star Alain Moussi,I want to see if he has what it takes to be the next big action star

He was only in Legendary because he had a knee injury. He couldn't do a fight scene, so he accepted a movie that didn't have any.
