Marcus: Hey longboard company, lets make short boards and medium boards!

Yeah. To hell with this "let's make the best of the thing we make" strategy and instead let's diversify and make cheaper, crappier versions of things other people make.

This is the episode where I finally have had enough. The first season was great, but it has continued on a downhill slide ever since then. I used to look forward to new adventures, but now it is just bad advertisement. Not sure when it quit being reality, but the sham it has now become is tacky, cheesy and fake.

The proposal wasn't about how they were making them less quality. It was all about creating options for people making them in different sizes which also lower the cost. The price point needed to be lower because they were out-pricing themselves in the market. The evidence of that is so few boards they were selling, which resulted in them losing money and depleting their personal finances to keep the place going.

Marcus wanted to buy the parts in bigger packages, so lower price points.

Nothing got "cheaper" or "crappier". Just the parts got cheaper, because he ordered more.

There is a market for less finished products, like he clearly showed in the Drums episode.

If it would be just crappy stuff, nobody would buy them and they would be out of business.
