I think one "problem" is the show has gotten "slower"

Early on it seemed to be more rapid fire with changes coming quickly and a new scene every few minutes. There would be some number crunching and then a change and maybe a little resistance from the business owner and then more numbers etc. Now there seems to be more sitting around chit-chatting with the business owner which seems to have slowed down the show.

You mean you don't like seeing Marcus act like a marriage counselor and/or trying to create problems so people cry?

Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that I'll be over here looking through your stuff.

The drama was always there just not as big a part of the show. The very first show Car Cash had a lot of drama with the 2 brothers. It's really not new. It just gets more air time. Plus we're used to the show now so our expectations are higher. The show is just as real now as it was from day one.

Says the nutjob who says the show is fake and then the next post talks about partnership agreements and whether the companies are doing better or worse since Marcus invested in the companies.

No wonder you bring up reality shows and the WWE. You don't even know real life from pretend world. The more you post the more I wonder if you even know anything about business or if your business prowess is just another "reality show" for you.

reply

I think it's gotten worse or is less relevant. With the Car Cash obviously there were issues about different ways to do business and they both wanted to honor their dad so it was important to focus on there bond so they could see their similarities and work together to solve differences. Marcus going, "did you know about the college money? Morgaging the house?" Etc didn't seem to help the business, at least not that I could figure out.

Since around Courage b, Marcus seems every interested in the business owner being "vulnerable". He probably gets a wider audience and better ratings when it's a combination of business and feelings.

reply

That may be true, but it reminds me of Project Runway where hard-core fans want to see the creative process and interesting fashion designs but more and more it focuses on producer manipulated drama or contestants clearly creating drama to get more air time. With the Profit, maybe the people who care enough about the show want to see more focus on how to fix the business and margins and solutions to problems...but maybe the wider, casual audience wants to see Marcus make someone cry. In both the drum and burger shows, he had to being on a former partner or employee. Did he really need to mend those relationships for the business or did he see a chance to show off people's emotions? Ehh it doesn't do much for me,

Ok. Let me get this straight, curmed52. You hate the show. It is a worthless scripted show. Yet alas, you tune in to watch it FAITHFULLY every week. Funny, if I hate a show I don't watch it. Second, you could care less what people on here say about you. That you don't post things on here for people to read and you could care less when they call you out for being a moron. Why watch the show? Why post on here about the show. No kidding it's fake and scripted. Much like you and your life. Seek some help. Anyone who hates something as much as you do but yet can't stop watching and talking about it needs to get on some meds. I'm sure MSNBC appreciates how much you hate the show but yet help their ratings since you religiously cook your TV dinner and sit in your moms basement and watch it with your laptop in hand every week. But we all know that if you ever saw Marcus you would kiss his butt. Both sides of it. People watch tv to be entertained. That's what it is. Entertainment. Weirdo.

It's always a dead give away when the person who sets up the fake account allegedly takes the time to look up the person's posting history and when they signed up.

Of course you know it's a new account because you set it up. LOL.

You're losing it. It's hilarious. That's quite a reality show you're creating for yourself and you're the star!!!

It sounds like your alternative reality show is really taking shape.

I bet Curmed sits in his moms basement and flicks his little baked bean every time Marcus bends over.

reply

I think that Curmed does something else every time Marcus bends over, but decency prevents me from expounding on it.

reply

I'll say it. Every time Marcus bends over, Curmeds little pecker sprouts as he dreams of pounding those pale, pasty butt cheeks.
