Flower shop lady insincere

I wonder if the woman with sexism chip on her shoulder was ever really interested in getting help. She was oddly similar to the lesbian couple with the candy shop. An all female environment maybe hostile to men? Was she just looking for advice to improve her business?

reply

She had a lot of hang ups and insecurities about being a woman and she was obsessed with the Silicon Valley world.

And you're all set to be voted Most Likely to be a Douche Bag. You're killing with your high school insults. Maybe you'll impress enough and be voted Homecoming Queen.

it made me wonder if she was serious if she'd ever seen the show. Usually he asks for 50% and asking for so much money and offering so little equity was a joke. She probably has faced some sexism but a majority of the problems are her doing and she isn't the kind to take any responsibilty. I really hated her dismissive attitude towards Marcus coupled with her husband paying all her bills.

Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that I'll be over here looking through your stuff.

Yeah she really wasn't a feminist. But you are finding new ways to troll.

Marcus must have seen something good in the business since he asked for so little equity and then even doubled that offer. I wonder if somehow she got wind that he really liked the business (he did say it was great opportunity) and decided to go for broke with him. Maybe we'll see her again coming back renegotiating if her husband can't keep financing the business. Marcus' claim he was not being taken seriously because he offered so many contacts (which is true) was a little lame from a bargaining point. It IS all about the money. He should have stuck to nut and bolts about how much it was worth.

It was a good business and she's a good manager but I think she's over her head from a business standpoint and thought her business was worth more than it was because it is her business and she thought calling it a start up in Silicon valley would get Marcus to throw money at her.

I think she was more insecure than insincere. She wanted Marcus' money as if he was a venture capitalist looking for a piece of a burgeoning business instead of what his is, a turnaround artist looking to take control of a fumbling one.

She was very sensitive to being stereotyped as a woman, because one of the stereotypes of women is that they are overly sensitive, so she was overly sensitive to not being seen as overly sensitive. 

Was hoping Marcus would say "Just be yourself. We all have deficiencies. If someone judges you on prejudices, then that's their loss not yours. But get some-self awareness about why you are seen the way you are seen, ffs."
