Carrie was the most annoying
"I want this NOW!" I want to go home NOW!"
What a brat!
She should have had her butt spanked a few times NOW to adjust that attitude.

Honestly Carrie behaves like someone her age if you locked her in a room and said she has to stay there...especially after all the changes in her life like losing her father, losing her home, etc. Do remember she's barely five years old.
"It's better to be hated for who you are than be loved for who you aren't."
Even before that happened, at the party "I want my cake and I want it now!"
I have known plenty of five year olds who have not behaved (and were not allowed to behave) like that.
All the kids were a little spoiled - it was sort of the point. It makes the drastic difference when they get to Foxworth Hall.
If we want to talk spoiled, Corrine beats all the kids put together. She acts so offended each time the kids don't want to hear about her sweet life she's living while they stay locked up. She could try to spend more time with them or try to figure out a way to get them out, but she just goes on with her life since it means more money for her.

I agree they kept Carrie very close to the book. I doubt most of the people complaining about Carrie from the remake have actually read the book...and what a shame for them since it's a really well written book.
