Better than the original

I dont understand really any of this the bad rating and crappy reviews but I absolutely loved this adaption of the cult movie Flowers in the Attic. I personally thought this movie had a better cast who werent all butt ugly, stuck to the book more, and it was much better done. The only thing I wish they wouldve done is do a better job with makeup because whoever did Cathys eyebrows were to dark and made her look like a man due to the color and the bushiness of them. Overall I felt like this movie was excellent and I would give it a 7 or 8 out of 10.

I agree. My biggest issue really was Cathy's hair since it was supposed to be so long...seems the make-up and costuming department could have came up with at least some extensions to make it appear longer. The eyebrows did bug me a little as well and would have been a cheap enough fix with just a little hair dye (or cheap way, bleach or peroxide).

😐~ I prefer the 2014 that the 1987 version. Mind you that even thought this version was missing some parts it was still closer to the book. But the 80's versions was totally different and did do justice to the novel. 

I agree with you, I love this version so much better than the 1987 movie which I thought was rubbish. They changed way too much things in the 1987 movie and removed the incest aspect which is so crucial in the story, they completely butchered the 1987 movie IMO. At least this version stayed alot more true to the story and I like the casts of this version more.
