Ha ha ok I had to be a smart ass. Well this saga clearly depics a very wealthy family who are very not "white trash" as committing incest. Not saying people who are actually white trash do committ incest I just had to be make this little joke. Then again this family is from Virginia. Anyway I do not know much about it but apparently flowers in the attic was loosely inspired by a true story of children being locked up so someone could receive an inheritance. I think it was a doctor VC Andrews knew who had this happen to him. Even though probably nobody knows it would be interesting to know that whole true story and how they were treated. See how it compares to the fictional flowers in the attic and if events in the movie were inspired by true events. Also I wonder how the lives panned out of the true children who were locked up. You hear about horror stories and family tragedies involving artistocratic families going way back. All the dysfunction and dark family secrets that have a gothic feel to it.
