I thought Cathy was supposed to be very beautiful?

No offense, but Kiernan doesn't cut it. At all.

"Hey guys! Whoa, Big Gulps huh? All right! Well, see ya later!" Dumb & Dumber

Yeah i dont mean to be horrible but that kid was not beautiful & didnt look anything like the Cathy i would imagine. Kristy swanson looked more like Cathy & acted better.

Just finished watching this film & oh my god, what a complete waste of time, money, & my patience. It was just dreadful, 100% awful - completely pointless!!

for such a beautifil book - ive read them all, why do they keep throwing these atrocius films at us. It quite easy to do, follow the book & recreate it using the right people who can actually act & not look like they are all wide eyes, high on drugs like Heather Graham or just stoned & boring to watch like the kids.

All of the actors in the 1987 version were a million times better than these guys, bloody hell mun!

Cathy is meant to have long blonde curly hair, they are all meant to be gorgeous good looking kids, the ones in the 80's film looked way more like what the family would look like. This was just a pointless film, heather graham was just dreadful - jesus christ. Why is she an actress again?????

Victoria tennant was way better & looked much more like corrine & jesus even ellen burnstein was appaling!! She was in the exorcist for crying out loud, im pretty sure she should be able to handle a grandmother. She wasnt scary at all - she was dreadful. Now the grand mother in the 80's was way more scary - they should have used the same people in the first film but just re-do the film like the book.

Complete utter bollocks

I agree with the OP.

I have to say though that VC Andrews makes Cathy sound so impossibly gorgeous that it's a pretty tall order to fill. She even had the magic hair like Audrina and every male in the series wanted her whether they were related to her or not save maybe Cory.

Kiernan's appearance, to me, was in the 14 or so age range, not 12 as the novel clarified.
