I liked the COD4 homage
As a fan of fps games, I enjoyed some aspects of this film. Sharlto Copley was quite entertaining and saved what was a gimmicky and at times tedious film. I felt that opportunities were missed.

shareI'm kinda old & haven't had a ton of FPS experience, but I loved CoD4:MW
I actually felt sad at the end of the game when Gaz & Griggs got killed, and I know I'm not alone (players have "lost" that level by emptying their pistol, as I did, into the villain at the cost of Soap's own life).
Point being, I experienced very much the same sadness when Jimmy died in this film - they're all fictional, but the fps aspect really made it personal, at least to me.
