In the first news I've read about this movie, Eric Bana was in the main cast what happened to him?

In the two years since the Janeites started tracking this project, I do not remember the name of Eric Bana was ever mentioned, at least not in the news compiled. The only cast change recorded was that Sienna Miller was first casted as Lady Susan and now Kate Beckinsale replaced her.
