To anyone who felt that Lady Susan spent too much time Narrating


If you want a character who is shown, rather than told about, how about Lady
Susan's eventual marriage- victim, played by Tom Bennett? Or, get out
your Norton Anthology and look up "Epistolary Novel", that is, a novel
told entirely by means of letters exchanged, viz. Richardson's Pamela.
Once you have that under your belt, buy a copy of Tristram Shandy, (or
watch the movie) and meditate on the classification of that one. 8 of 10 for me.

She wasn't narrating at all. There was no narrator. She simply spoke the most and we saw everything as she sees it.
