this is Charmed for adults

And that's not a good thing. First it was a little scary, then the bad cgi of the crooked man made it look cheap. it turned into a comedy when all the people started 'investigating' the case and then, lastly, the demon was destroyed in an total anti-climatic boss fight that lasts around 2,5 seconds. everyone's safe, the end.

a two hours episode of Charmed would have been better.

sorry, my autocorrect on the phone made this text nonsense :)

it's not 'unromantic' but it's anti-climatic.
and there are a few 'n's missing ;)

but you get my point.

I actually liked the unromantic description, as in lacking idealization or a sense of adventure. Like going to kill a dragon and he's just deep asleep letting the hunter ram a spear through it.

reply

Just for being accurate, the crooked man is actual costume and make up, there's no Cgi

reply

thanks, that is true. i revoke my criticism of that part.

CHARMED isn't for adults?

reply

I just watched it tonight.

#1 The Crooked Man. OMG... Who on earth thought that was a good idea?

#2 The demon's defeat. When it was over we looked at each other like "That's it?" Break her arms and legs. Turn her hair white. Put them through hell. Literally. Drag one of her arms into the "portal" and have it come back gnawed and ultra deformed. That *vwoooop!* Gone! is so anti-climactic.

Anyone seen Prince of Darkness? That ending when she dives through? THAT is how you end a demonic boss fight.

Meh. I gave this a 6.

Agree! that is a class act ending in a bad ass classic horror movie!

~If the realistic details fails, the movie fails~

That ending kinda haunted me for months after watching that movie. Struggling to get back to the light ... only to have it flicker out on you. Damn.

That mirror scene is one of the best I have EVER seen.
