The crooked man should have stayed in the toy

Completely took me out of the movie, I was ready for creepyness and scares and a 70% chance of a dead dog but instead we get that, wat? I just kinda looked at it laughed, like yo why you here, it wasn't even scary...

Pointing me out on spelling is just one hell of a poor argument..

Lol! Loved your dead dog comment. I think we all felt the same way about the crooked man.

YESSSS he was awful and it was at that moment 2 ppl left the theater last night. I'm still upset that they had the crooked man

Yeah it was kind of arbitrary wasn't it, and took the film into a strange territory. But then I just sat back and realised the film was having fun and not taking itself too seriously, but still managing to be very scary in certain parts, so I have respect for the creators.

'Bill' did in fact sing a nursery rhyme, but it was "Row, Row, Row Your Boat". The writers probably decided to go with "The Crooked Man" instead and get a bit more creative with it.
Kind of like the interview scene. I've seen the original interview, and there were no lights flickering whenever Janet would speak in a deep, guttural voice. There was some knocking heard, though.

It was "This Old Man", not "Row, Row, Row Your Boat". You've probably mixed it up with Insidious 2 when Parker's mother was singing about the boat.

Nolan, I love you forever!

Yep, but I still enjoyed most of the movie so by the time that thing showed up I just said to myself: Huhh... I guess I know what they're trying to do, but this sort of scare doesn't work with me".

Reminded me of the lipstick demon in "Insidious".
