Why the cgi ghost? Out of place sadly
Movie was good but why did they have to use the cgi clown ghost from the toy? It was strange and did not fit to the movies style

I agree this was a major misstep in the film. Luckily it was just a small part.
But the monster looked way fake and silly especially when it was obvious that Bill and the Nun were actual actors wearing practical make up effects.
That was not CGI, it was played by Javier Botet.
shareIt was Javier Botet in a tracking suit which they then covered over in post production with a CGI monster.
You can see the difference and it is the one big mistake of the film.
No, it was 100% Javier. There's a video on youtube showing the making of
shareNo offence but I'm currently watching this film and that was 100% cgi. Behind the scenes or not, there is NO WAY what I just saw wasn't CGI. Even as it tripped the kid with its cane, and walked down the hall - that was definitely cgi. You need to rewatch the scene.
