Best Conjuring opening: Annabelle or Amityville?

they're both amazing, i really can't say which one is better because both of them are really effective and very scary.

I completed watching The second movie about an hour ago for the first time and completely forgot the opening, must have been quite boring I guess.

This opening was great but I'm going with the first opening with Annabelle. The Annabelle movie sucked but the doll worked very well in The Conjuring because it plays it's part.

Have to go with Annabelle. The first part of the movie, wherein Annabelle Higgins and her boyfriend kill the parents and attack the two main characters was the only part of the film that really frightened me.

Definitely the Annabelle opening. The Amityville opening was underwhelming just like the rest of The Conjuring 2.

Hmmmm.. when "The Amityville Horror" was released it was being
promoted as a "true" story, it was big news and everybody I knew
who saw the film said; "It's so much scarier because it's true!"
Well it wasn't, there had been a crime years ago that was documented
and that was about it. It was actually news worthy back then as the
Warrens, seeking attention, were doing interviews & talk shows trying
to scam even more people. In the end the story fell apart, the
witness's admitted to lying, none of the supernatural events ever
took place, and all of a sudden the movie got a whole lot less
interesting. I didn't see the film until after and though it was
mediocre. So, for me this film would have been a lot more enjoyable
without the Amityville tie in or the real life frauds the Warrens.
I really thought the first "The Conjuring" was one of the best
horror films in years, I had forgotten who the Warrens were and
really enjoyed it! I thought the second part of this film was
quite good! Oh! and Annabelle was creepy as hell! LOL
