Cheap laugh, but I admit it got me.

it sounds negative when u say cheap laugh. i thought it was hilarious and keeping the film authentic with the times. patrick wilsons delivery of the line is perfect.

I just meant that the joke is basically "Hey guys, remember that this is the past and technology has come a long way! Get it?" but like you say the delivery sells it perfectly.

That line was hilarious! I would have loved to have heard the audience reaction in the theater.

My gf and the others in the theater with us all laughed. My friend and i laughed at it last night.

Definitely, this movie has many funny moments like that. It shows that it doesn't take itself that seriously.
